Nowadays, we encounter in the clinic work discomfort linked to narcissism or non-neurotic disorders that represent a challenge to psychoanalysis, added to the fact that culture reacts to these experiences with consumerism and speed in the media. We are therefore in need to expand theoretical knowledge as well as the hypotheses that frame our clinical work.
Much has been said about the importance of the role of the father as well as that of the mother, but there are few works that focus on the real father. Also, the generational inherited aspects present a challenge to understanding the phenomena that appears in modern day clinic. The merging of these elements has become necessary to address the complexity that surrounds us. The father, the generational transmission and its impact on the malaise, are subject of analysis in this work.
