Abstract

This essay is descriptive in nature and addresses the relevant perspective on the application of a SWOT matrix to assess the performance of competencies in teachers from higher institutions in Peru. In addition, a quantitative approach was considered as a methodology, with a descriptive level and type and a descriptive-comparative design. In this work, valuable information is collected regarding the perception of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats obtained through the application of a SWOT matrix in teachers at a higher level, who manage different competences, including technology. The detected SWOT elements are grouped by interrelation and socialized in the explanation of this essay. In addition to what was previously described, the competencies that a teacher in constant training must know and manage in order to work based on new and emerging educational scenarios are analyzed, valued and socialized.

    Doctor in Education from the Universidad Femenina del Sagrado Corazón (UNIFÉ), with a Postdoctorate in Educational Innovation in Emerging Scenarios from the Intercontinental University; Master in Management Management from UNIFÉ; Master in Public Management from the School of Innovation and Management of Spain; Master in Public Management from the University of San Martín de Porres; Doctorate in Administration from the San Ignacio de Loyola University and the SIU Graduate School. It also has diplomas in Scientific Research; Scientific Writing and Publication; Investigation methodology; Virtual Environments; University Teaching, and Tutoring and Consulting in Education. Likewise, he trained at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, in Monterey, California, United States, and took the Virtual Environments course, at the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey, Mexico City campus. She is a certified translator from the College of Translators of Peru; member of the International Association of Translators FIT; representative of UNIFÉ before the Surveillance Board of Sworn Translators; in charge of the Interinstitutional Agreements area of ​​UNIFÉ; teacher at UNIFÉ, USIL and UCV, in Lima, Peru.
