Abstract

The worldwide pandemic of the Sars-Cov-2 coronavirus has had a significant impact on the economic and productive activity of nations and has led to a slowdown in business activity. In addition, the United Nations has declared that the effects of climate change are close to irreversible unless high-impact measures are adopted to mitigate environmental pollution and the excessive exploitation of natural resources. Consequently, organizations face, on the one hand, the effects of a pandemic that has forced the establishment of new business management models and, on the other hand, the imperative need to modify operating practices and processes to implement sustainability models. Therefore, a key factor to develop adaptation and growth strategies in organizations is leadership. This text presents a review of the main aspects of leadership and its linkage to sustainability approaches in order to expose its importance to achieve the growth and consolidation of organizations in a constantly evolving future.
